We both have off-farm jobs - Tonya works in academia and Ashley works at a biotech company; however, we are most in our element working on the farm. 

Having land to farm in a quiet rural community has been a shared dream long before we met. Ashley’s dream of a farm was sparked by her maternal and paternal grandparents with their small farm and garden operations with pigs, cows, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and more. As a child, Tonya’s family had a dairy farm in upstate New York until they had to sell. She and her siblings always talked of getting the farm back and that goal stuck with her… although Ashley is clear that this won’t be a dairy farm.
